Let us explain some simple logic on how the system works. The system has a clutch which is controlled by a TCU (Transmission control unit). It is a manual gearbox with a hydraulic unit to control the action of the gear selectors. There is a small reservoir, located on the gearbox, which has a hydraulic pump supplying the pressure to move the selectors.
The way the system works is by the TCU which reads your input with your foot on the throttle pedal. The harder you press the throttle pedal the quicker the clutch is released. There are other factors to consider like load, road conditions, engine temperature, vehicle speed, etc.
The clutch wear can be read but this percentage reading is only as accurate as the system is wear-free; this reading should only be a guide and is not definitive.
