We have had a few incidents concerning Mini brakes and the fact the are not working very well, especially after heavy braking. We only give our clients one of two options, genuine or upgraded. Patent brakes pads are generally of an inferior quality and this translates in poor braking performance. BMW pads are designed to offer sensible braking under normal conditions, however if you like to drive the car with some enthuisiasm then upgrade brakes are the recommended options.
